Digilent has announced the new Current and Power Adapter for Analog Discovery.
Digilent’s Analog Discovery is a unique multi-function test and measurement device, that combines a digital USB oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, protocol analyzer, waveform generator, pattern generator, variable power supply, and much more in an ultra-compact size.
The Current and Power Adapter extends the capabilities of Analog Discovery 3 and Analog Discovery 2 devices with external circuitry to enable current measurement. It allows users to visualize current, voltage, and power in DC and AC circuits. When connected to the Analog Discovery through the 2×15 MTE connector and placed between the source and load, Digilent’s free WaveForms software can be used to visualize current, voltage, and power in DC and AC circuits.
A reference WaveForms workspace with premade calculations to determine a variety of measurements including average current, reactive power, the phase shift of current relative to voltage, and more is freely available to provide users with a set of baseline calculations that can be determined with the Current and Power Adapter.
