NTC inrush current limiters from EPCOS featuring very low power dissipation now in stock at TTI, Inc.
April 2017 – New NTC inrush current limiters (ICLs) from EPCOS for a wide range of industrial electronics applications can now be sourced in Europe through TTI, Inc., a world leading specialist distributor of electronic components. Thanks to their very low resistance in the operating state, NTC ICLs offer very low power dissipation in both AC and DC circuits.
The latest P27 series of NTC inrush current limiters (ICLs) features a nominal disk diameter of 27mm and lead spacing of 7.5mm, thus extending the portfolio of large NTC ICLs for industrial electronics applications from EPCOS. The high material density of the NTC ICLs enables a volume-efficient, high-performance design with a disk thickness of just ≤7mm. P27 series devices offer extremely stable and reliable electrical characteristics, a rated resistance of 0.5Ω up to 10Ω at 25°C, and can handle high currents of up to 30A, depending on type. The coating material is flame retardant and UL 94 V-0 approved. The components are fully RoHS compliant and UL approved (E69802).
The large-diameter components of the new P27 series are especially suitable for use in large electric motors and drives and all kinds of high-watt power supplies as well as in industrial applications such as welding and plasma cutting equipment.
