- New Product – Mouser Now Stocking Knowles V2S200D Digital Voice Vibration Sensor for Speech Detection Applications
Mouser is now stocking the V2S200D digital voice vibration sensor from Knowles. The V2S200D is a specialised, low-power, high-performance, high-bandwidth vibration sensor for earbuds, wearables, and self-speech detection applications. It features voice activity detection with 50-dB acoustic isolation, designed to selectively pick up the speaker’s voice while suppressing wind and background noise for an improved voice call experience. In addition to enhancing voice call quality, voice activity detection, imposter rejection, and personalisation are some of the other use cases made possible by this sensor. Alongside having a low-power consumption, its small size and high 64.5-dBA signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) offers an ideal solution to OEMs/ODMs looking to enhance the user experience of their products while working with significant industrial design (ID) and battery life constraints. In addition, upon integration into the system, it emulates a digital mic with a pulse density modulation (PDM) interface, which makes hardware and software development hassle-free. The V2S200D is supported by the V2S200D evaluation kit (KAS-33100-0006), which features a V2S200D sensor along with a SiSonic™ digital MEMS microphone in an earbud form factor.
