  • New Product – Mouser Now Stocking Microchip’s PIC32CK 32-bit Microcontrollers, Delivering Secure Connectivity for Device Designers

Mouser is now offering the PIC32CK 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) from Microchip Technology. The new family of mid-range MCUs provides a cost-effective way for developers to design applications in line with strict cybersecurity requirements. The PIC32CK 32-bit microcontroller family includes the PIC32CK SG and PIC32CK GC MCUs. Featuring a 120MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 core, the 32-bit MCUs deliver up to 2 MBytes of flash memory and 512 KBytes of static random-access memory (SRAM). Connectivity options include 10/100 Ethernet, high-speed USB, full-speed USB, CAN FD, and configurable serial communications for easy integration into wearables and sensor hubs, digital audio devices, IoT nodes, and more. The PIC32CK family’s analogue support features include a 32-channel peripheral touch controller and 12-bit ADC with sampling rates of up to 3 million samples per second. The PIC32CK SG MCU is ideal for demanding industrial and medical applications, offering advanced key management, fast cryptographic operations, and authentication. The PIC32CK SG’s integrated Hardware Security Module (HSM) subsystem — with a dedicated CPU, memory, secure DMA controllers, cryptographic accelerators, and firewalled communications — forms a secure enclave for boot processes, software updates and running trusted applications. Secure partitioning, enabled by TrustZone® technology, provides an additional layer of protection for critical software functions. The PIC32CK 32-bit microcontroller family is supported by the PIC32CK SG (EV33A17A) and PIC32CK GC (EV33A17A) Curiosity Ultra development boards.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Shipping Espressif Systems ESP32-S3-BOX-3 Next-Generation Open-Source AIoT Kit

Mouser is offering ESP32-S3-BOX-3 next-generation open-source AIoT kit, available to order from Mouser.com, from Espressif Systems. The ESP32-S3-BOX-3 is a feature-rich development tool based on the ESP32-S3 Wi-Fi® + Bluetooth® 5 Low Energy system-on-chip (SoC) featuring AI acceleration capabilities. The SoC also features 512KB SRAM, supported by 16MB of quad flash and 16MB of octal PSRAM. The kit also contains a 2.4-inch (320 x 240) SPI touchscreen, two digital microphones, a speaker, a USB Type-C™ port, and a high-density PCIe connector for hardware expansion. This open-source AIoT kit delivers a speech-recognition framework that provides users with an offline AI voice assistant. The ESP32-S3-BOX-3 supports the Matter protocol, enabling users to utilise it as a Matter-over-Wi-Fi/Thread end-device, a Thread border router, or a Matter gateway. Additionally, the ESP32-S3-BOX-3 supports working with the open-source, home-automation platform and home assistant, thus providing users with a powerful, local home controller. The outstanding AI capabilities and low power consumption of the ESP32-S3-BOX-3 make it the ideal choice for smart home automation. Espressif’s AIoT Cloud platform, ESP RainMaker®, can be used with ESP32-S3-BOX-3 to configure GPIOs and offline voice commands while also offering remote control via phone apps or third-party voice assistants. This AI development kit is ideal for developers looking to prototype and transform existing factory operating systems into Edge, AI and HMI applications or other complex IoT systems.
