  • Final Placement – Mouser-Backed DS PENSKE Formula E Racing Team Claim Third Place to End the Dynamic Season 10

Mouser congratulates drivers Jean-Éric Vergne, Stoffel Vandoorne, and the DS PENSKE Formula E racing team for finishing in third place overall in the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship with 200 points. Vergne also finished fifth in the driver’s standings with 139 points. Vandoorne finished tenth with 61 points. Over the season, Vergne achieved three podiums in Diriyah, Berlin, and Portland. In addition, Vergne broke the Julius Baer Pole Position record by scoring the Pole 1 position for the 17th time in Portland. Vandoorne also netted a podium position for the Monte-Carlo, Monaco race. Todd McAtee, Senior Vice President, Business Development for Mouser Electronics commented that Mouser’s partnership with DS PENSKE aligns the distributor with the future of racing and the leading edge of automotive technology. McAtee congratulated Jean-Éric, Stoffel, and the entire team on the 3rd place in the Global Championship. Formula E is an international, fully electric street racing series. Mouser supported the DS PENSKE team for the globe-trekking 2024 season in collaboration with TTI, Inc. and valued manufacturers Molex and KYOCERA AVX. The Season 11 campaign will begin in São Paulo, Brazil, on December 7, 2024, following pre-season testing on November 4-7 in Valencia, Spain.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Shipping onsemi Image Sensors, Enabling Machine Vision, VR/AR, Biometrics, and More

Mouser offers onsemi’s broad portfolio of industry-leading image sensors that are ideal for multiple applications, from wearables and consumer electronics to demanding industrial and automotive applications. In the first quarter of 2024, onsemi released three new, innovative image sensors, all of which are available from Mouser. The AR2020 is a 1/1.8-inch back-side illuminated (BSI) stacked CMOS digital image sensor with a 5120 × 3840 active-pixel array. This advanced sensor captures images in either linear or enhanced Dynamic Range (eDR) modes with a rolling shutter readout. This image sensor is ideal for video conferencing, biometrics, and machine vision applications. The AR0830 is a 1/2.9−inch BSI stacked CMOS digital image sensor with a 3840 × 2160 active-pixel array. Also featuring linear and eDR modes and rolling shutter readout, this device delivers excellent performance in low light and near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths. This image sensor is targeted at industrial machine vision, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), smart access and retail analytics. The AR0234CS CMOS digital image sensor offers a 1920 x 1200 active-pixel array in a 1/2.6-inch optical format. This sensor incorporates a new innovative global shutter pixel design optimised for accurate and fast capture of moving scenes at 120 frames per second, full resolution. Ideal applications include scanning, autonomous mobility, surveillance and industrial quality control.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Offering BittWare’s GroqCard Accelerator, Allowing Easy Deployment for Deep Learning Models

Mouser is now offering the GroqCard™ Accelerator from BittWare. This double-width PCIe form factor ML accelerator provides easy deployment paths for PyTorch, TensorFlow, and ONNX-trained deep learning models. The GroqCard Accelerator features nine RealScale™ chip-to-chip connections to ensure multiple cards can be deployed as efficiently as one. The accelerator provides near-linear, multi-server, and multi-rack scalability without external switches. Error-correction code (ECC) protects against data corruption for improved uptime and reliability. The accelerator features the fully deterministic GroqChip™ processor for enhanced scalability. By reducing data movement, the GroqChip guarantees predictable, bottleneck-free, low-latency performance. The GroqWare™ Suite, a comprehensive and versatile software stack, is composed of the Groq Compiler, Groq API, and utilities. The suite simplifies the integration and setup process and is compatible with industry-standard AI and ML frameworks. The GroqFlow™ Tool Chain, included in the GroqWare Suite, enables a single line of Pytorch or TensorFlow code to import and transform existing models. The GroqCard Accelerator offers up to 750 TOPs and 188 TFLOPs at a frequency of 900 MHz for INT8 and FP16 operations.
