  • New Product – Mouser Now Stocking NXP Semiconductors’ Highly-Configurable, Industrial-Grade NAFEx88 Analog Front End

Mouser is now shipping the NAFEx88 analog front-end (AFE) ICs from NXP Semiconductors. The NAFEx88 AFE ICs meet the precise measurement requirements of data acquisition systems, industrial automation and process control, and programmable logic controllers (PLC). These AFEs integrate low-leakage, high-voltage (HV) fast multiplexers, low-offset and low-drift programmable gain amplifiers (PGA), and buffers. The ICs feature eight configurable HV inputs that support single-ended or differential ranges up to ±25V. The ICs also include a diagnostic system for anomaly detection and prediction, as well as CRC error detection. The NAFEx88 ICs feature a high data-rate 24-bit Delta-Sigma Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), as well as precise voltage and current excitation sources. The ICs feature an operating temperature range of 40°C to 125°C and are delivered in a 64-pin, 9 mm2 x 0.85 mm HVQFN package. The NAFE13388 and NAFE73388 ICs are factory-calibrated, while the NAFE13188 IC is non-factory calibrated. The NAFEx88-EVB evaluation board provides an easy-to-use evaluation platform for the NAFEx88 AFE ICs. The evaluation board is also available in a kit (KITNAFE13388-EVB), which includes a microcontroller board for further ease of use.

This accelerator card is based on the 7nm Versal™ adaptive SoC architecture, powered by an AMD Versal high-bandwidth memory (HBM) device, delivering 820 GB/s with 4x200G networking, PCIe® Gen4 and Gen5 interfaces, DDR4 DIMM slots for memory expansion, and Mini-Cool Edge I/O (MCIO) connectors to scale across compute and storage nodes at PCIe® Gen5 speeds. This accelerator is also suitable for FinTech and blockchain workloads demanding massive parallelism and involving large data sets like algorithmic trading back-testing, option pricing, and Web3 blockchain cryptography. This accelerator card supports custom data types with the capability for 100s of nodes with built-in cryptographic engines and adaptable hardware that is also ideal for firewall and custom packet monitoring while offering the highest logic density, network throughput and memory bandwidth in the AMD Alveo portfolio.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Shipping Phoenix Contact’s VL3 UPC Industrial Box PCs, Providing Intel-Based Processing for Industrial Control

Mouser is now offering the VL3 UPC Industrial Box PCs from Phoenix Contact. The ultra-compact VL3 UPC PCs feature sixth-generation embedded Intel® Atom® processors and are designed for continuous operation in demanding industrial environments. These Industrial Box PCs provide a modern hardware platform with scalable performance, memory, and storage. Users can configure the VL3 UPCs to match the requirements of each application. The system offers a choice of processors and is pre-configured with DDR4 RAM and onboard NVMe solid-state storage. The VL3 UPC can be configured with additional M.2 SSD storage and a variety of I/O options, including wireless LAN, serial communication interfaces, additional Ethernet ports, and 4G/LTE. The fanless, compact form factor design — 100 mm x 10 mm x 50 mm — allows for flexible installation in small enclosures and is DIN-mountable. These Industrial Box PCs are IP30-rated and have an operating temperature range of -20ºC to +60ºC. The VL3 UPCs support both Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and Linux and are Windows 11-ready. The VL3 UPC devices offer leading connectivity options, ideal for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications such as edge computing and decentralised data collection.

Based on a next-generation U-MOS9-H trench process, these MOSFETs deliver high efficiency at all loads. Toshiba’s 40V and 50V fully integrated stepper motor drivers exhibit low on-resistance, fine micro-stepping, and compact form factor with motor driving enhancement features that are suitable for a wide range of industrial applications like actuators and CNC machines. The TLP2362B, TLP2368B, TLP2762B, and TLP2768B high-speed isolated photocouplers support and handle slow inputs that add unwanted chattering noise. These devices simplify design and eliminate required external components like Schmitt triggers, which are traditionally used to reduce chattering noise.
