  • New Product – Mouser Now Stocking Nexperia’s Expanded Range of 650 V Silicon Carbide Schottky Diodes for Industrial Applications

Mouser is now shipping the PSC1665x silicon carbide (SiC) Schottky diodes, part of Nexperia‘s expanding portfolio of SiC devices. These diodes are available in real-two-pin (R2P) DPAK TO-252-2 and TO-220-2 packaging for design flexibility. The merged PiN Schottky (MPS) structure of these devices provides additional advantages over similar SiC diodes, including outstanding robustness against surge currents. This eliminates the need for additional protection circuitry, thereby significantly reducing system complexity and enabling hardware designers to achieve higher efficiency with smaller form factors in rugged high-power applications. In addition, Nexperia’s ‘thin SiC’ technology delivers a thinner substrate (one-third of its original thickness), which dramatically reduces the thermal resistance from the junction to the back-side metal. This results in lower operating temperature, higher reliability and device lifetime, higher surge current capability, and lower forward voltage drop. These diodes are designed to address the challenges of demanding high voltage applications, including industrial switched-mode power supplies, energy storage, battery-charging infrastructure, motor drives, uninterruptible power supplies as well as photovoltaic inverters for sustainable energy production.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Offering Texas Instruments’ DLP5532PROJHBQ1EVM, for High-Brightness Automotive Projection

Mouser is now stocking the DLP5532PROJHBQ1EVM evaluation module (EVM) from Texas Instruments. This EVM is a complete solution for automotive projection, featuring optics, LED light sources, and adjustable throw distance. The EVM also supports proof of concept (POC) demos, allowing developers to validate and refine designs early in the development process. The DLP5532PROJHBQ1EVM provides an 1152 × 576 resolution on a 55-inch digital micromirror device (DMD), suitable for heads-up displays (HUDs) and other in-car projections. With up to 700 lumens of light output, the EVM produces images that are visible even in well-lit conditions. In addition, the EVM features Luminous PTM-50-X RGB LEDs covering 125% of the NTSC colour gamut. The evaluation module receives video input through an HDMI interface or alternative video feeds. The DLP5532PROJHBQ1EVM includes an electronic subsystem designed to control the DLP5532-Q1 chipset. This EVM accelerates development and reduces time to market for projectors used in automotive applications. The DLP5532PROJHBQ1EVM supports high-brightness transparent window displays for advertisements, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-pedestrian (V2P) communications.

  • New Product – Mouser Now Shipping Advantech EVA-2000 LoRaWAN Sensors for Industrial Automation and Environmental Applications

Mouser is now offering the EVA-2000 sensors and meters from Advantech. The EVA-2000 Sensors are a significant advancement in the field of industrial sensing applications, offering long-range data transmission combined with exceptional power efficiency for industrial automation, equipment and environmental monitoring. These sensors are easy to deploy and maintain and include the EVA-2210 3-phase current meter, EVA-2310 temperature and humidity sensor, the EVA-2311 LoRaWAN PT1000 round head probe sensor, and the EVA-2510 water leak detection sensor. These sensors efficiently gather and transmit data wirelessly over extended distances through low-power, wide-area LoRaWAN technology. The EVA-2210 is ideal for measuring equipment current in pumps, fan motors, compressors, computers and servers. The EVA-2310 sensor is well-suited for measuring temperature and humidity in offices, hospitals, classrooms, or warehouses. The EVA-2311 can measure the temperature of refrigerators, freezers, and cooling pipes. The EVA-2510 water leak detection sensor is used in cooling and water treatment systems to reduce risk by alerting users to problems quickly to prevent severe damage. All four sensors can be installed directly on walls, metal boxes, or poles and are powered by two AA 3.6v Li-ion batteries with up to three and a half years of battery life, depending on conditions.
