  • Mouser Now Shipping Boréas Technologies BOS1211 CapDrive Piezo Haptic Driver for Tactile Feedback in Driver Safety in Automotive Applications

Mouser is now stocking the BOS1211 CapDrive® piezo haptic driver from Boréas Technologies. The BOS1211 is a scalable, low-power piezo haptic controller based on Boréas’ patented CapDrive technology. The BOS1211 allows automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and tier-one suppliers to add highly responsive, tactile feedback to buttons and sliders on displays and other human-machine interfaces (HMI). Designed to handle up to 120V HD haptic low-distortion waveforms, the BOS1211 can drive TDK’s PowerHap 120V piezo actuators or similar loads. The product features a piezo sensing interface that detects pressure on the piezo actuator, generates automatic haptic waveform feedback, and notifies the user. Piezo haptic buttons, supported by the BOS1211, help to improve on older haptic technologies, offering faster response times and an extended frequency range compared to linear resonant actuators (LRAs). The BOS1211 runs waveforms through an integrated digital front-end and SPI interface. The interface integrates 1024-sample internal FIFO, a waveform synthesiser, and 2 KBytes of RAM for waveform memory. Boréas’ BOS1211 CapDrive Piezo Haptic Driver is delivered in a wettable flank QFN-24 package, providing a space-efficient solution for haptic applications. The BOS1211 is AEC-Q100 Grade 2 qualified, and is suitable for a wide range of display haptics, button replacement, and HMI applications.

  • Mouser Now Offering Bourns PTVS1-240C-M High Current TVS Diode for System Surge Protection

Mouser is now shipping the PTVS1-240C-M high current transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Bourns. The PTVS1-240C-M is a bidirectional diode that protects electrical systems from high-voltage transients and electrostatic discharge (ESD). The product is one of the industry’s first bidirectional power TVS diodes in a space-saving surface mount package, reducing the PCB footprint compared to traditional through-hole-mounted power TVS diodes. With a maximum breakdown voltage of 295V, a repetitive standoff voltage of 240V, and a precise clamping voltage of 340V, the diode provides effective and reliable operation. The PTVS1-240C-M series protects against ESD and high current surges, with a 1kA surge handling capability under 8/20μs test conditions. Due to its temperature-dependent voltage breakdown sensitivity, engineers can reliably anticipate the diode’s behaviour in different environments. The low-leakage PTVS1-240C-M TVS diode consumes just 10 µA when on standby. The product is UL497B certified, meets IEC 61000-4-5 standard specifications, and is RoHS compliant. Bourns’ PTVS1-240C-M is designed for high-power DC bus protection and clamping applications, ideal for industrial power systems, energy storage systems, and factory automation.

  • Mouser Now Stocking Renesas RRH62000 All-In-One Air Sensor Module for Indoor Monitoring Applications

Mouser is now offering the RRH62000 all-in-one integrated air sensor module from Renesas Electronics. The Renesas RRH62000 integrates multiple sensor capabilities in a compact design to accurately detect different particle sizes within volatile organic compounds or gases that are harmful to human health. With an onboard Renesas microcontroller (MCU), the RRH62000 module offers an intelligent sensor management solution with robust firmware that enables customer products to comply with various air quality standards around the world. The RRH62000 features one of the smallest footprints in its class of sensor modules, and incorporates a Renesas RA Family MCU with seven sensor signals, including the laser-based PM1/2.5/10 particulate matter sensor, the ZMOD4410 metal oxide gas sensor, and the HS4003 relative humidity and temperature sensor. These sensors can detect particulate matter, total volatile organic compounds (TVOC), estimated CO2, temperature, and humidity all in one system. All key components have been pre-integrated and fully calibrated at the factory, allowing developers to start their sensor system designs right out of the box. Renesas’ RRH62000 is an integrated air sensor module designed for air purifiers, smoke detectors, HVAC systems, weather stations, smart home systems, and indoor air monitoring applications. To support product development, Mouser also offers the Renesas RRH62000-EVK integrated sensor module kit, which includes evaluation software to facilitate sensor data visualisation, various operational modes and ultra-low power and AI technology for precise and reliable sensor outputs.
