- New Product – Mouser Now Shipping Raspberry Pi’s Hailo 8L AI Kit for Complex AI Vision Applications
Mouser is now stocking the Hailo 8L AI kit from Raspberry Pi. The AI kit, which combines the pre-installed Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ with an M.2-format Hailo 8L AI accelerator, is ready to use out of the box. The Hailo 8L AI kit is a 13 tera-operations per second (TOPS) neural network inference accelerator built around the Hailo 8L chip. When installed on a Raspberry Pi 5, the kit allows users to quickly create complex AI vision applications with low latency and minimal power requirements. Neural networks for facial landmarking, instance segmentation, object detection, and other tasks run entirely on the Hailo 8L module, leaving the Raspberry Pi 5’s CPU free to handle different processes. A thermal pad, pre-fitted between the module and the HAT+, spreads heat across components to improve performance and ensure consistent operation. This AI Kit includes a 16mm stacking header, spacers, and screws for easy installation in a Raspberry Pi 5 with the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler in place. The Hailo 8L meets Raspberry Pi’s HAT+ specification and has an operating temperature range of 0℃ to 50℃. The AI kit provides a cost-effective and power-efficient way to integrate high-performance artificial intelligence (AI) in applications, including process control, security, home automation, voice recognition, and robotics.

- New Product – Mouser Is Now Stocking Analog Devices MAX32675C Microcontroller for Precision Sensing in Industrial Applications
Mouser is now offering the MAX32675C ultra-low-power Arm® Cortex®-M4F microcontroller (MCU) from Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI). The highly integrated, mixed-signal microcontroller delivers high performance while maintaining ultra-low power consumption. This MCU is ideally suited to 4mA to 20mA loop-powered sensors and transmitters used for measuring pressure, temperature, and flow in industrial and medical applications. The MAX32675C MCU is based on the ultra-low-power Arm Cortex-M4 with a floating point unit (FPU). The MCU includes 384 KB (376 KB user) of Flash memory and 160 KB of SRAM, which can be optionally retained even in low-power modes. Error correction coding (ECC), capable of single-error correction and double-error detection, covers the entire Flash, SRAM, and cache to ensure reliable code execution in demanding applications. This MCU features an analogue front end (AFE) with an integrated, low-power HART, enabling bidirectional digital data transfer over a current loop to and from industrial sensors for configuration and diagnosis. The AFE also provides two 12-channel sigma-delta ADCs (Δ-Σ) that digitise external analogue signals and system parameters such as temperature and supply voltages. A programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with adjustable gains precedes each ADC. Users can convert ADC outputs from integer to single-precision floating point format in real-time for improved performance and accuracy. The MAX32675C includes an advanced encryption standard (AES) engine, persistent key storage, and other robust security features.

- New Product – Mouser Now Shipping Bourns HVMA03F4A-LP8S 2W Gate Driver Transformer for AEC-Q200 Automotive and Energy Storage Apps
Mouser is now stocking the HVMA03F4A-LP8S 2-watt gate driver transformer from Bourns. The HVMA03F4A-LP8S flyback transformer delivers a switching frequency of 400 kHz while providing an output power of 2 watts. The transformer is an ideal fit for designs requiring high isolation voltage and can be incorporated into many gate driver controller ICs (with either fixed or variable frequencies), offering customisation for other output voltages and applications. The device offers an 8 mm creepage and 2 mm clearance with a Hi-Pot isolation voltage of up to 2750 VAC. The creepage distance combined with the 800-volt working voltage makes these transformers ideal for new electric vehicles (EVs) and green energy applications requiring high isolation voltage. The HVMA03F4A-LP8S is now available from Mouser Electronics with PCB mounting in a low profile, high-creepage SMT package unique for its large working voltage capabilities. The transformer is ROHS and REACH compliant and is specified over an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C to meet AEC-Q200 standards. Further target applications include transistor gate drive power, inverter circuits, high voltage battery management systems (BMS), motor drives and power delivery.

- New Product – Mouser Offering New STMicroelectronics STEVAL-PDETECT1 Presence Detection Evaluation Kit for Human Presence Applications
Mouser is now shipping the STEVAL-PDETECT1 presence detection evaluation kit from STMicroelectronics. The STEVAL-PDETECT1 features low power, user privacy, and multi-sensor modalities with up to three add-on boards in a daisy-chain configuration for smart home, human presence and IoT applications. The STEVAL-PDETECT1 kit is based on three sensors: the STHS34PF80, VL53L8CX, and VD6283TX. The STHS34PF80 sensor is designed to measure the amount of infrared (IR) radiation emitted from an object within its field of view. The VL53L8CX is a multizone (either 4×4 or 8×8) time-of-flight (ToF) ranging sensor, which enhances performance under ambient light with reduced power consumption. The VD6283TX (1.83 x 1.0 x 0.55 mm) is ST’s new colour sensor with advanced light flicker extraction. Thanks to an individual analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) and a readout for each colour channel, light measurement is fast and accurate. The STEVAL-PDETECT1 presence detection evaluation kit is designed to work with the STEVAL-STWINBX1 SensorTile wireless kit, also available from Mouser. The SensorTile kit enables the prototyping and testing of advanced industrial sensing applications in IoT environments, such as condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
