- Mouser Now Offering ROHM Semiconductor BD34302EKV MUS-IC 32-Bit Stereo Audio DAC Chip for High-Resolution Audio Applications
Mouser is now shipping the new BD34302EKV MUS-IC™ series 32-bit stereo audio digital/analog converter (DAC) chip from ROHM Semiconductor. Designed for high-quality spatial audio in smart speakers, digital audio players and high-resolution audio applications, the DAC integrates ROHM’s exceptional sound quality design technology. This includes high sampling data weighted averaging (DWA), that enhances total harmonic distortion (THD) performance while delivering higher resolution and improved natural sound quality with an exclusive HD monaural mode. An automatic mode switching function allows for easy switching between pulse code modulation (PCM) and direct stream digital (DSD), as well as between various sampling frequencies (32 kHz to 1536 kHz), two finite impulse-response (FIR) filter channels, and two different DWA algorithms. Multi-bit data input and high sampling frequency make the BD34302EKV MUS-IC the most versatile converter in its class. Furthermore, the chip offers spatial reverberation, minimal noise, and an extensive dynamic range, preserving the natural texture of instruments through direct stream digital (DSD) frequencies (2.8 MHz, 5.6 MHz, 11.2 MHz, or 22.5 MHz), supporting two-channel stereo, single-channel mono, and HD mono output. Helping to expedite development, the ROHM Semiconductor BD34302EKV evaluation board is also available to order from Mouser, providing a complete platform for easy demonstration and prototyping with the BD34302EKV MUS-IC DAC chip.

- Mouser Now Shipping Panasonic’s SN-GCQB1 Laser Type Air Quality Sensor for High-Precision Indoor and Outdoor Monitoring
Mouser is now stocking the SN-GCQB1 laser type air quality sensor from Panasonic. Suitable for indoor and outdoor monitoring, the SN-GCQB1 air quality sensor accurately detects temperature, humidity, particulate matter, Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOCs), and equivalent carbon monoxide (eCO2). Featuring an optimized air pathway to prevent particle accumulation and protect electrical components, the SN-GCQB1 sensor uses an onboard microprocessor and micro-fan to improve performance, while the auto-calibration ensures accurate measurement for a lifespan exceeding ten years. It measures relative humidity from 0% to 100% with ±3.0% accuracy and temperatures from -10°C to +60°C with ±0.4°C accuracy. Long-term stability, consistent response times, and resistance to drift in the SN-GCQB1 air quality sensor are achieved thanks to its protective resin shell which blocks electromagnetic radiation, and at just 37 mm x 37 mm x 12mm in size, the all-in-one air quality sensor is ideal for wearables, smart home applications, and other compact devices. Its high-precision optical sensor and laser diode accurately detects various particulate matter such as such as dust, fly ash, soot, smoke, aerosols, fumes, and condensing vapours, including PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10, making it perfect for HVAC systems, air purifiers, greenhouses, forest fire monitoring, and various industrial applications across retail, medical, and smart building sectors.
