Video: Hardware Consolidation at the Embedded World 2020

The COM Express module based on a 6 core 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processors is capable to run multiple Operating Systems, even real-time OS when utilizing the Real-Time Hypervisor. The Demo runs one core with a real-time Linux to balance an inverted pendulum while one other CPU core is dedicated to managing the external communication at the highest security levels. The remaining 4 Core are utilized by a desktop Linux and perform an AI face recognition based on Intel OpenVino at impressive high frame rates. All three operating systems run at full speed, the Real-Time Hypervisor does not add any latency.
